Meet the Birth Team
ANASTASIA LITKE, RN, BSN, CLC
Birth Assistant/Nurse-Midwifery Student
Hello!
My name is Anastasia and I am a student nurse-midwife at Frontier Nursing University. My desire to become a midwife was deeply influenced by my personal experience of having two amazing physiological home births of my own with Certified Nurse-Midwives at my side. I believe that all women and birthing people should feel empowered, supported, and genuinely listened to during the entirety of their pregnancies and postpartum experiences. I also strongly believe in prioritizing evidence-based, woman-centered care, and feel called to provide authentic and compassionate, loving attention to pregnant people during this rite of passage.
In 2014, I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and began my work as a registered nurse shortly after. Though I have worked with a wide range of people, my primary focus has been specializing in pediatric and neonatal intensive care units at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. From there, I continued pursuing my passion for postnatal care and became a Certified Lactation Counselor with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP).
I currently live in Tolland with my husband, two daughters, and our two labs.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, camping and kayaking with my family.
